Support my call for a new Youth Hub in Telford.
More than 30% of Telford’s population are young people under the age of 24.
I know from speaking to young people, parents and businesses in our area how important it is that everyone gets the opportunity to succeed in the world of work. It’s critical for young people themselves and it’s critical for a thriving local economy.
The new youth hubs are single location with Jobcentre services, council support, employers and training under one roof. The Government has announced plans to deliver 80 new Youth Hubs across the UK, including one for Telford & Wrekin. This is part of a national mission to ensure every area has access to opportunities in work, training and volunteering.

I am pushing to ensure that Telford is the location for our local Youth Hub. This is a significant opportunity for our town, and I want to make sure Telford’s young people benefit directly from this investment.
I want every child and young person in Telford to have the best possible start in life and the opportunity to thrive. Youth Hubs bring together employment support, the local authority, employers and training providers in one place, offering joined-up support at a crucial stage in young people’s lives.
Securing this Youth Hub for Telford would make a real and lasting difference to opportunity, skills and life chances across our community.
