Last Friday, Telford MP Shaun Davies, welcomed residents to a community drop-in event in Hollinswood, bringing together local services to provide on-hand support to Telford residents.
The event, held at the Community Centre in Hollinswood, gave residents the opportunity to speak directly to their MP, raising any concerns, seeking advice or offering any ideas for improving their town.
A number of fantastic local organisations were present throughout the afternoon, offering support and assistance on a wide range of issues. Partners who attended included Citizen’s Advice, Shropshire Fire and Rescue, Telford Mind, Telford and Wrekin Council, West Mercia Police, Age UK and several others.
Shaun commented “It was brilliant to see so many people come along on Friday to talk to me and our local services. Events like these are so valuable because it gives me the opportunity to meet face to face with residents, and discuss what is most important to them, shaping the work I take with me to Parliament.
I’m grateful to our local partners who took the time to offer their incredible support for our residents, and I look forward to continuing hosting more of these events this year to ensure I am as accessible to our community as possible.”

Shaun’s resident events are scheduled across Telford every month this year to ensure residents have opportunities to meet their MP locally. Events have already been held in Overdale, Sutton Hill, Madeley, Brookside, Dawley, Oakengates, Ketley and Telford Town Centre.
