Shaun commented: “I would like to place on record my sincere thanks to all those involved in the emergency response earlier this week in Newdale. In particular, Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service for their swift and professional action; Miss Cook, Headteacher of Newdale Primary School, for her leadership of pupils and staff; and Pure Gym, the Grazing Cow, Lawley Academy, Lawley Nursery and Morrisons for the support they provided to the local community. Their efforts reflect the very best of Telford’s community spirit in the face of a challenging incident.

I ask that the Leader joins me in recognising and thanking these outstanding individuals and organisations, and I further call for a debate on formally recognising the invaluable contributions of emergency first responders.”
