Shaun Davies MP is urging residents to take extra care as a temporary ban on disposable barbecues comes into force, following a significant number of fires across England and Wales.
With devastating wildfires occurring locally, Shaun is asking people not to light open fires, bonfires or barbecues.
Residents are also being urged not to use fireworks and to take extra care when disposing of cigarettes, making sure they are completely extinguished before being placed in a bin.
Current conditions are extremely dry, meaning even one small spark can have damaging consequences.
Taking a risk doesn’t just put one person in danger, it could also put other people’s homes, livelihoods and lives at risk.
Residents are encouraged to follow the guidance, take care and stay safe.
