A bus pass should work when it’s needed, not only after 9:30am.
Shaun Davies MP has welcomed the Government’s announcement that, from April 2027, disabled people in England will be able to travel by bus for free at any time of day.
Whether it’s getting to an early shift at work, travelling for education or training, attending a doctor’s appointment, or visiting family and friends, Shaun believes this change will make a real difference.
He is looking forward to seeing the change come into effect and making it easier for disabled people to travel around Telford and beyond.
Shaun is also reminding families that free bus travel for 5–15-year-olds is available during the school holidays.
There are still a few weeks left to make use of the scheme, helping families save money on travel and put more money back in their pockets for other activities.
