Telford MP Shaun Davies has launched a new competition in partnership with Telford Steam Railway, giving one local family the chance to enjoy a year of heritage, history and family days out at one of the town’s most popular attractions.
Following a recent visit to Telford Steam Railway, Shaun is inviting families from across the Telford constituency to enter a prize draw to win a Family Season Ticket, providing unlimited access to the railway for a whole year. The prize will allow the winning family to enjoy the attraction’s events, discover its rich history and experience everything the railway has to offer. During the visit Shaun met the dedicated team of volunteers who work tirelessly to keep the railway running, as well as veterans and members of Telford’s Armed Forces community.
Shaun Davies MP said: “I was delighted to spend a Sunday morning at Telford Steam Railway recently, meeting the brilliant volunteers who give so much of their time to keep this special place running. Telford Steam Railway is a real asset to our town. It hosts fantastic events throughout the year that attract visitors from not just Telford but outside of our town. Places like this help preserve our heritage while giving families and friends the opportunity to spend quality time together and create lasting memories. That’s why I’m delighted to launch this competition with Telford Steam Railway to give one local family the chance to enjoy a year of visits – just in time for the summer holidays!”
The winner will receive:
- One Family Season Ticket (valid for either two adults and two children, or one adult and three children).
Families can enter by:
- Commenting on Shaun Davies MP’s competition post and stating which part of Telford they live in (for example, Dawley, Oakengates or Madeley); or
- Emailing: shaun.davies.mp@parliament.uk
Entries close at 5pm on Monday 22 June, and one winner will be selected at random.
Entrants must live within the Telford constituency. Eligibility can be checked using the official Find Your MP service. No public money is being used to fund this competition.
