Telford MP to host Community Drop-In event in Oakengates

Shaun Davies - MP for Telford, speaking to Telford residents.

Shaun Davies, member of parliament for Telford, is hosting a community drop in event on the 31st of October. The Coffee Morning will be an opportunity to raise important issues or valuable ideas with the MP.

The event will be held at the Wakes in Oakengates from 10am-12pm attended by numerous local organisations that are available to offer targeted support alongside Telford’s MP. He will be joined by Telford Mind, West Mercia Police, The Wrekin Housing Group, Telford and Wrekin Council, Citizens Advice and many others.

This will be Shaun’s fourth coffee event amongst a series of other community sessions, including Lawley, Madeley and Coalbrookdale & Ironbridge. These events stand as a great opportunity to seek support from your local MP in an informal setting, without the requirement to book an appointment.

On the event, Shaun commented “I’m looking forward to meeting with as many residents as possible to help in any way I can, or to talk through any ideas they may have to improve Telford even further. With the added fantastic support from our local partners.

I am committed to standing up for the people of Telford and this is part of that. Coffee mornings and surgeries facilitate those important face to face chats where I can really understand the issues that our community faces. Please do come along if you’re available”

Shaun has hosted a number of community events this past year, with a few more remaining in the calendar this year, for more details click here
