Shaun Davies MP, Member of Parliament for Telford, will host his next community coffee drop-in event in Hollinswood on Friday 15th May, bringing residents and local services together.
Taking place at The Hollinswood Neighbourhood Centre between 2pm and 3:30pm, the event is an informal space where residents can speak directly with their MP, share their views, and access the support they need, all in one place.
More than just a chance for conversation, these events bring together key local organisations and public services under one roof, residents can get practical, face-to-face help on the day, whether it’s advice on employment, housing, finances, health, or wellbeing.
Partners attending include Age UK, Telford Mind, West Mercia Police, Citizens Advice, Telford Job Box, Telford & Wrekin Council, the Department for Work and Pensions, Housing Plus, as well as local councillors. The event highlights the power of partnership working, making it easier for residents to connect not only with services, but with the people behind them.
Shaun said: “I’ve now supported around 11,000 people across Telford who have reached out to me, and those conversations are at the heart of everything I do. It’s why these monthly events are so important as they give residents the chance to speak with me face-to-face, nothing beats an in-person conversation! Whether it’s raising an issue for the first time or simply sharing your views, these sessions really matter and when I stand up for Telford in Parliament, it’s the voices and experiences of local people that shape my work.
“Having our fantastic local partners there on the day also means people can access a wider range of support straight away, making these events even more helpful and it’s great to see them getting busier and busier.”
Shaun’s resident events are scheduled across Telford every month this year to ensure residents have opportunities to meet their MP locally. Events have already been held in Overdale, Sutton Hill, Madeley, Brookside, Dawley, Oakengates, Ketley and Telford Town Centre.
