Telford MP holds latest resident surgery in St Georges today

Shaun Davies MP Speaking to a resident at a surgery

Shaun Davies MP for Telford held his latest monthly resident surgery today in St Georges, meeting with local people to hear their concerns, discuss community issues and provide support on matters affecting residents across the town.

Since being elected in July 2024, Shaun has now supported more than 12,000 constituents who have reached out to him for support.  Today’s one-to-one surgery gave residents the opportunity to speak directly with their MP to raise individual cases and ask for support. Ahead of Armed Forces Day next week, Shaun also made a special invitation to veterans and armed forces personnel, encouraging them to attend and speak with him directly about any issues, experiences or concerns. During the session, Shaun spoke with residents about a range of topics, including education, support for veterans, and activities and opportunities for young people across Telford.

Shaun Davies MP said: “Meeting residents face-to-face is one of the most important parts of my role as an MP. I host events every month in a different part of Telford from coffee events with partners to bring everyone together to 1-2-1 local surgeries which give me the opportunity to listen to people, understand the challenges they are facing and make sure their voices are heard in Parliament. I was particularly pleased to meet with residents ahead of Armed Forces Day and hear from members of our armed forces community today. My thanks to everyone who came along.”

Telford residents are next invited to join Shaun on Saturday 25th July for a special community coffee morning at Dawley Park, hosted in partnership with local independent coffee shop Katcha Latte. Taking place from 11am to 1pm, this informal event is a great opportunity for residents to come together, enjoy a chat over a coffee, and connect with local organisations, services, and community partners who are all working to support people across Telford including council services, Housing Plus Group, Telford Mind and many more.

Whether you have a question, an idea, or simply want to meet others in the community, everyone is welcome. No booking is required, just drop in and say hello.
