Shaun Davies MP believes Telford’s high streets should be places where local businesses can thrive and where people want to spend time and shop.
Shaun regularly hears from people across Telford who are concerned about shops closing and empty units on local high streets, and who want more reasons to shop locally and spend time in their town centres.
He has welcomed the Government’s plans to give local people more control over what opens in their area, helping to stop rogue businesses from setting up and tackling the increase in vape shops and gambling centres.
Shaun believes the plans are about creating high streets in Telford that work for local communities, while supporting good local businesses and helping to give the town a brighter future.
There is plenty more to come, but this is an important first step.
